Baltichallen is a relatively new sports hall with a Tarkett Sport Elit covered floor measuring 42 x 42 metres. There is seating for 700 spectators, six changing rooms, toilets, a conference room and a café.

There are just a few volleyball clubs on Åland but junior membership for both girls and boys has greatly increased over the last few years.

One club plays at competition level with a men's team in the Swedish League Div.1 and a ladies team in Div. 1.

Mikasa MVA200, the official match ball of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing will be used during NatWest Island Games XIII.
