The tennisballs that will be used during the NatWest Island Games XIII is Wilson, Tour Davis Cup Official.
Venues: Idrottsparken and Bollhalla
Idrottsparken is situated in central Mariehamn and will host the men's event. Bollhalla, the where the women's competition will take place, is situated five minutes from the town centre.
Idrottsparken has four hard courts, all outdoors. The sports ground has six changing rooms, toilets, café and facilities for media and officials.
Bollhalla has four outdoor clay courts and three indoor courts as well as two changing rooms, a conference room and a café. The indoor courts will only be used as a back-up facility.
Mariehamns Lawn Tennisklubb (MLK) has 400 members from throughout the island. 110 juniors train and compete regularly and the club plays in the Finnish League Div. 1
The Mariehamnspelen (Mariehamn Games) is organised annually and in the late 1990's the ATP Senior Tour was organised in four consecutive years.

Magnus Hjuström is happy that the tennis courts in IP are likely to be upgraded for the 2009 Island Games.

The courts at Idrottsparken are being refurbished for the NatWest Island Games 2009.
The ground works have been completed and only surfacing work remains.
A new stand with seating for 400 spectators is under construction.
